Adult Aquatics
The Abington Y is pleased to offer a large variety of pool programs appropriate for adults of all ages and abilities.
Pool Parties
Do your children enjoy swimming? Do you want to have a party a little different than everyone else? Consider having your Party here at the YMCA pool! There are several types of pool parties available. Call the Aquatics Department at extension1858 for questions and information.

Pool Rentals
Have your organization rent out the YMCA Pool for programs, parties, and events. Call Ben Mihalko, Aquatic Director, at 215-884-9622 x1824 for more details.
Swim Lessons
Parent & Child Swim Class
(30 minute classes). This water enrichment program provides a positive environment for children ages 6 to 36 months WITH a parent or guardian in the water. Parents are guided through basic swimming skills by trained instructors. Children must have head control and must be accompanied by an adult in the water. Children must wear swimmer diapers, no disposable diapers.
Preschool Swim Lessons
(30 minute classes). Children learn the fundamentals of swimming with emphasis on personal safety and developing strength, endurance and coordination. Children are placed into small groups according to their ability.
Progressive Swim Lessons
(45minute classes). For children ages 6 to 12 years of age
Pre-Competitive Swim Lessons
(60 minute classes). For ages 8 to 14 years of age.
Special Swim Lessons

Open to all ages! Learn to swim at your own schedule!

Adult Instruction
This is a beginner class for teens and adults who want a water acclimation class. No previous experience is needed. Fee: Full Privileged Member $50
