ABS Plus

A toning class focusing on abdominal and back health.
 

Body Pump
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
A revolutionary weight training workout that strengthens, tones, conditions and defines all the major muscle groups in the body.  This non-impact workout uses barbells with adjustable weights to work every muscle with weight bearing exercises including squats, presses, lunges and curls.

 

Cardio Combo
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
Here's the class you've been waiting for...forty-five minutes of heart pumping cardiovascular exercise.


Dance Aerobics
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
This class combines low impact aerobics and popular dances for a unique workout. The Charleston, Disco and Latin dances will be the focus of this special class.

Flex Lite
Beginner
A class especially designed for active older adults and those starting a fitness program.  This total body workout incorporates cardiovascular exercises, including walking, with gentle toning exercises.
 

Interval Express

The original 30-minute fitness center circuit combining cardio-vascular and strength training.

Kickboxing
Intermediate, Advanced
A one hour complete cardiovascular workout for the exercise enthusiast!  Bring a water bottle to class.
 

Mat Pilates
Beginner, Intermediate
Increase strength and flexibility using the Pilates technique. Bring a mat to class.

Multifit
Beginner, Intermediate
Come join us for a combination of fun high-energy aerobics and strengthening moves.

Spinning
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
Set to motivating music, this cardiovascular workout on a stationary bike simulates a real outdoor biking experience. Please arrive 15 min. prior to the first class. Bring a towel and water bottle to class.

Stay Fit
Beginner, Intermediate
Stay Fit offers a balanced approach to improving and maintaining overall fitness.  Exercise that increase strength, flexibility, cardiovascular health, and coordination will be set to motivating music. 

Step

Step aerobics and toning exercises combined to help you feel great, and get fit.

Hatha Yoga
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
Dynamic breathing and high energy movement build strength and flexibility as well as reduce stress.  Bring a mat to class.

Mindful Yoga
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
Careful attention to alignment and breathing make this class an important part of any yoga practice.  Beginning yoga students will benefit from the assist technique and more experienced students will gain flexibility and strength through the use of blocks and straps.

Wellness Programs

WELLNESS CENTER ORIENTATIONS
Our Wellness Coaches will assist you in getting familiar with all of our exercise equipment and program options.  Your Wellness Coach will discuss with you your wellness goals and hlp establish a beginning program.  Appointments are for new and existing members.  FREE FOR FULL PRIVILEGE MEMBERS!

COACH APPROACH

The Coach Approach is a process of developing a commitment to exercise.
* Free Program developed by certified exercise staff.
* Stay motivated with guidance and encouragement from our friendly and easily accessible coaches.
* Become committed to exercise by learning self-management techniques.

YMCA ONE-ON-ONE PERSONAL TRAINING
If lack of motivation seems to be inhibiting your success in personal fitness, let one of our certified personal trainers get you back on track. One - hour sessions are available by appointment only.  Call extension 1116.

* Program designed to meet your goals
* Flexible hourly sessions.
* 1 session:  $40     6 sessions $180

YOUTH
Full Privilege members of the Philadelphia and Vicinity YMCA aged 10 years  – 12 years may use the fitness center accompanied by a supervising adult (18 years or older) after completing a documented youth fitness orientation with a YMCA wellness coach.  The supervising adult must be present the entire time.  Please contact the Wellness Director ext. 1116, with any questions.

TEENS
Full Privilege members of the Philadelphia and Vicinity YMCA aged 13 years – 16 years may use the fitness center unsupervised after completing a documented teen fitness orientation with a YMCA wellness coach. Please contact the Wellness Director ext. 1116, with any questions.
