SPECIAL K…Special Kids Recreational Swim
Children with special needs such as Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis and learning disabilities are welcome. This program promotes socialization and fun. A parent, TSS, or legal guardian must be in the water with the child at all times. A registration form must be filled out. Special K…Special Kids Private Swim Lessons
Our friendly YMCA Aquatic staff will meet your vehicle in the Y parking lot and transport via wheelchair or personal assistance to the pool deck. An aquatic chair lift is available to lower members to our heated 86 degree water. Aqua belts, barbells, noodles, and other equipment are available.
Special Needs: Learn to swim for 5-12 year olds, learn/refine swimming skills for life-long fitness and enjoyment. Parent assists with communication; instructor also teaches parent techniques to use with the child to enhance swim skills. Contact Theresa Fox x1583 for more info.
Fee: $23 per class for Full & Program Members. (Members must be at least a Program Member.)
Special Adult Recreational Swim
Physically challenged individuals are welcome to participate in this free program. Participants are required to bring a medical release from their physician before beginning the program. Participants must bring someone to assist them in the pool and locker area. The self-operated pool lift is available. Volunteers are needed and welcomed.
