Our Core Values

Rocky Run YMCA Wellness Programs

The Rocky Run YMCA's Wellness Center houses over 60 pieces of cardiovascular exercise machines and 50 pieces of strength training equipment in approximately 4,000 square feet of space.  Our cardiovascular equipment feature Precor treadmills, elliptical cross-trainers, recumbent bikes, upright bikes, stair climbers and Concept II rowers.  Our strength equipment include a complete line of Paramount's Advanced Performance line including their Advanced Rotary Technology, as well as an array of Paramount's plate loaded equipment, complete sets of Hampton dumbbells from 2 to 100 pounds and 3,500 pounds of Hampton free weight plates.

For those who find our main area a little overwhelming, we also feature a Starter Fitness Room.  This room is approximately 1,000 square feet and has a smaller number of Precor cardiovascular machines (treadmills, elliptical cross-trainers and recumbent bikes) and a complete line of Paramount's fitness line strength equipment (12 exercise machines).

The Rocky Run YMCA also features the FitLinxx system.  FitLinxx is an interactive fitness network which links fitness equipment together into a comprehensive network that provides immediate feedback and tracks your workout in order to coach and motivate you through your exercise program.  FitLinxx easily allows you, with the help of your instructor, to develop a personalized and comprehensive exercise program to suit your needs and help you attain your desired level of success.

Personal Training

The Rocky Run YMCA Personal Training Program provides specialized, one-on-one training by certified instructors to meet the needs of our members. Your personal trainer will work with you to optimize your physical and mental well-being while teaching you techniques to help fit exercise into your busy schedule.

Group Exercise Classes

Our group exercise classes offer a variety of exercise options and intensities.

Wellness Center Age Policy

Due to the mental and physical maturity levels, the minimum age allowed into the Wellness Center and on the track unsupervised is 13 years old.  Participants 10 to 12 years of age may only use the Wellness Center and track after going through our youth orientation program.  Participants must be a minimum of 13 years of age to work out alone.  This policy is strongly supported by the YMCA of the USA Medical Advisory Committee.
