Y-Arts Begin September 8th with all new classes!!

 FOR AGES 6-12 YEARS
(Fridays are for ages 3-6)

SPACE IS LIMITED TO 15 PARTICIPANTS PER CLASS.

FULL PRIVELEGE MEMBERS, AUGUST 18th   $20 per session (per class)
PROGRAM MEMBERS, AUGUST 25TH  $40 per session (per class)

VISUAL ARTS:  Instructor:  Angela Thomas

Class description: Lets take an art-making journey together with decorated paste papers, book making, collage, drawing, color theory, and landscapes. Over a seven-week course, there will be three projects:
a) Decorating our own paper for use throughout the rest of the classes
b) Making books all about ourselves
c) Creating our own pond. We can spend time discovering how we like to make pictures, how colors work together, and really get our heads and hands into the process of making art.

MONDAY – 5:00-6:00 PM
SATURDAY – 9:00-10:00 AM

ART HISTORY & DOABLE ART:  Instructor:  Sarah Miller

Class description:  This class combines history with doable activities that mirror ideas found in Leonardo's notebooks. Using common household objects (duct tape, foil, cereal boxes, paper-towel tubes, etc.); children can make a parachute, hydrometer, invisible ink, walk-on-water shoes, etc.

WEDNESDAY – 5:00-6:00 PM
SATURDAY – 10:15-11:15 AM

FRIDAY MORNING ART CLASS:  Instructor:  Sarah Miller

Class Description:  Educational and fun for children ages 3-6.  There are many creative ways to learn the ABC's throughout this class, including making an alphabet zoo, playing ABC games, going on letter hunts, participating in finger plays.
