West YMCA Wellness Programs

The YMCA health and wellness programs are developmentally appropriate and help people at any stage of life build positive health habits. Participation in YMCA programs offers youth and adults opportunities for friendship and community, a sense of well-being, increased self-confidence and improved mental abilities.

YMCA programs and services cut across diverse populations with diverse needs and attempt to take into account the total-health of each person. The YMCA provides a variety of health and wellness programs including exercise and water fitness classes for people and families of all ages, health and wellness seminars, educational classes, personalized training programs, non-competitive youth and adult sports leagues and social opportunities for seniors and families.

All Classes are one hour unless otherwise indicated.

Buddy Training

Body Training

Tired of not getting results in a certain body area? Is it your
arms, stomach or legs? Let us develop a routine for you! Call

2700 ext. 2019.  Each session is 1 hour.  Ten (10) session is $150.

1 on 1 Training

Total body workout with one on - one personal training. Call

476-2700 ext. 2019.  Each session is 1 hour. Ten (10) sessions is $200.

Sport Specialty Training

Let us train your son/daughter in a sport they love.
Basketball, Football or Track just to name a few.

Kids Zone Training

This seven week program is for children ages 8 -12 that
are overweight or at risk of becoming overweight.
Children will learn various types of exercises and cardio
conditioning games. Snacks will be provided. Spaces limited.
Children must be signed in and out by an adult guardian.

Spinning

Spinning is a cardio workout done on specially designed stationary bikes simulating a road bike ride. Spinning is a fun way to exercise to music.

Low Impact Aerobics

A low impact aerobic dance class which will include strength work utilizing hand weights as well as an abdominal workout.

One-On-One Personal Training

If motivation seems to be inhibiting your success in personal fitness, let one of Personal trainers get you back on track. One hour sessions are available by appointment only.

Pilates

Pilates is a method of conditioning that improves muscle control, flexibility, coordination, strength and tone. Pilates` work is concerned with the process itself - experiencing all movement from the inside out by focusing on the present moment instead of placing the entire emphasis on "doing". Through continuous involvement in the process of movement, the goal is reached by a natural evolution in contrast to a forced result.
