Job Title: Kid Zone Coordinator
Employment Status: Part Time

Range: $10.57-$13.55 per hour
Position Purpose:
The position of the Kid Zone Coordinator will assist the Family Services Director with providing overall leadership in the Kid Zone program area. To assure that member have a positive experience with YMCA programs. Assist with the development of internal communication and marketing strategies that promotes the YMCA mission and experience. Provide a cohesive approach to member service and promoting YMCA services. Assist with the supervision of the staff and program development in the Kid Zone department. Ensure the implementation of daily program activities that are mission focused and provide a safe environment that has age appropriate activities. Ensure that children are monitor children and staff is aware of whereabouts at all times. Serve as a leader in customer service and program delivery.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma and 2-3 years of experience in related field
- Direct experience in child care, camp or babysitting and communication.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational and supervision skills required.
- Experience and knowledge of DPW regulations and requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Detail-oriented with problem solving skills.
- Knowledge and experience with computer software i.e. Excel, Word, Lotus Notes
- Ability to work well with volunteers, employees, and members and prospective members required.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift 50lbs, to sit, stoop, run, climb and actively participate in activities related to the age of the group.
- CPR, AED, Oxygen Administration, Child Abuse & Harassment Prevention Training, First Aid, Fire Safety and YMCA orientation are required within 60 days of hire.
