Check My Y
Due to different county mandates, things may vary at your local YMCA! Available amenities, programs, and hours may vary per location to keep you as safe as possible and align with local mandates.
Temporarily closed - due to a recent City of Philadelphia mandate, all Philadelphia County Ys are closed.
What to expect.
The Y has implemented a number of new and enhanced protocols to keep our community, members, and staff safe while at thee Y.
Hours and Capacity
Hours of operation will be shortened for a while, along with how many members we will be able to accommodate at one time to allow more time for nightly cleaning and more space for social distancing.
All members will have their temperature taken prior to check-in. We will also ask you five health screening questions when you enter the center. You're in good company! All staff and vendors will also be screened.
Our whole team is hands-on-deck and will be cleaning all surfaces, toys, machines and our facility throughout all hours of operation to make sure we are safe and ready, at all times.
You’ve probably seen these everywhere lately and the Y is no exception. Floor dots and signs will help you maintain the 6ft social distancing with other members and remember our new rules.
We are increasing the number and locations of hand sanitizer and equipment wipe stations throughout the building for your convenience and use.
Designed for Distancing
Areas inside the Y have been evaluated and redesigned. We have moved some equipment and shut some down so you can safely workout within the 6ft safe distance.
Guests and Closures
To ensure safety, we are not allowing guests at this time. We will also be keeping a few areas closed such as hot tubs, whirlpools, and saunas temporarily for your safety.
Daily Deep Clean
Our facilities team will perform a deep clean each night with CDC recommended cleaning solutions after closing to ensure we are ready for our members and each new day, safely.
What should you know, bring, and keep at home.
We all have a part to play in keeping ourselves and others safe. Here is what we ask while you're at the Y:
Keep Your Distance
Respect the social distancing put in place. We will do all we can to place helpful guides, distance machines, and equipment – but we need your help.
BYO Towel, Water Bottle, and Mat
Members will be asked to bring their own water bottle and a workout towel. All water fountains will be closed. If taking an exercise class that uses mats, we just ask you to bring one from home.
Stay Home if You’re Sick
If you are not feeling well, please stay home for everyone’s safety. If you still want to work out – no worries! Stay home and join us with a Y workout online.
Remember to Wipe Down Equipment
Please help us reduce the risk of exposure for your fellow Y family by wiping down all equipment, weights, etc. with the provided cleaning materials on wellness floors after you’re done.
Be Ready for Temperature Checks
All members will have their temperature taken before check-in. We will also ask you health screening questions when you enter the center. Anyone above 100.4 degrees or any symptoms of illness will be asked to come back when they are feeling better.
Look for the Signs
We will be posting helpful signs all around our building, helping you to know what to expect, which equipment is closed, and how to stay socially distant. And if you don’t know, just ask – we are happy to help you navigate.
Bring a Mask
Due to state mandates, everyone over the age of 2 needs to wear a mask while at the Y. We are happy to provide you a mask if you need and appreciate your cooperation in helping the Y stay open and safe for all.
No Guests, Please
For the time being, we are not allowing guests to join us at the Y. We are also temporarily suspending membership reciprocity, meaning only members of the Greater Philadelphia YMCA may visit its branches for now.
Find Your Time
To help keep both you and staff safe during certain activities, we will be using reservations. This helps us maintain capacity and ensure proper physical distancing is possible.
Start here to make a reservation. We can't wait to see you at the Y!
