Seventeen gymnasts from the Phoenixville YMCA gymnastics team competed at the Janet Rothenburg Memorial Invitational in Pocono Manor, PA. Gymnasts from clubs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York competed at the invitational.

The Xcel Platinum girls placed second as a team in their session and were 4th out of 18 teams. The Xcel Diamond team placed 4th overall. The Phoenixville girls had two all around titles and 6 individual event titles.

Takeways:

Platinum

  • In the 11 and under division, Kaylee Emplit was first place all-around (36.525) and won two individual event titles on bars (9.025) and beam (9.075). Haylee Kallal won floor (9.45) and Julianna Alcantara won vault (9.1).
  • In the 12 year old division, Jasmine D’Angelo was first place all-around (36.55) and also won two individual events titles on vault (9.375) and bars (8.7).
  • In the 13 year old division, Paige McCleod was third all around (35.4), won the floor title (9.55) and placed 2nd on beam (9.175). Annie McGonigal took third on bars (8.25).

Diamond

  • In the 16 year old division, Frankie Vitelli placed third on beam (9.25).
  • In the 14 - 15 year old division, Rebecca Martz won the beam title (9.3) and Ryann Gepphart was 2nd on vault (8.75).

What's Next?

The next USAG meet for the girls will be the Pink Invitational at the Philadelphia Convention Center February 17-19th.
