Frequently Asked Questions
You can verify eligibility by contacting your health insurance provider or agent. Please look on the back of your insurance card for a toll-free number to contact. You can also contact our member services team to look-up your plan! Please give us a call at 215-220-9199 with your insurance information and we’d be happy to assist.
Stop by your local branch and we will be happy to get your membership set up! Please be sure to bring the following:
- If you have Medicaid, you will need your photo ID and insurance card.
- If you have Medicare, you will need your photo ID and fitness ID/confirmation number OR insurance card.
Included in your membership is access to unlimited group exercise (land and water), indoor pools, saunas, whirlpools, indoor/outdoor tracks, pickleball, open gym and more! Programs like swim lesson, youth sports, small group training, personal training, and some outdoor pools may require an add-on fee. Amenities and fees vary by location.
Free guest passes are provided to all Y members, age 18 or older, as a benefit of your membership. For the safety of everyone visiting the Y, all guests must be accompanied by a current adult member (age 18+). Adult members may bring up to two guests per visit. Each guest must present a valid photo ID and may visit three times in a calendar year.*
You can head over to any of the 16 locations on our website! If you would like to attend a Y outside of the Greater Philadelphia Association, you must first check if they accept your insurance for coverage as not all Y’s may participate. (Please note: Health Partners and Silver & Fit only allow their participants to join one location per contract year.)
Absolutely! Insurance members can visit during normal operating hours and as often as they would like during the month.
The Y never turns anyone away due to an inability to pay! Please check out details and how to apply for our Financial Assistance process.
