Join the Spring Valley Y Shooting Stars

Join our Spring Valley Y Shooting Stars program! The Shooting Stars program is focused on ensuring children with special needs can be included in organized sports. Volunteer coaches work with your child to develop their athletic skills, learn to work as a team, and socialize with others.

This free program is available for members and non-members ages 6-17. Registration is required.

Where:

Practices are held at the Spring Valley YMCA gymnasium.

When:

This group meets at 5:30 PM on Wednesdays between September 9, 2026 through May 19, 2027.

Volunteer:

We are currently looking for volunteers (ages 16 and up) to support our program both on and off the court. Whether it's offering coaching support, encouragement, one-on-one assistance, or helping with general program needs, there’s a place for you on our team! 

We’re especially looking for volunteers who are fun, flexible, and comfortable adapting to changing plans. The commitment is just once a week.

If you're passionate about working with others and want to make a positive impact in a short amount of time each week, we'd love to have you join us!
