Congratulations to our Haverford Y gymnasts for an amazing performance at the National Championships!
The Haverford YMCA Gymnastics Team traveled to Cincinatti, OH with six gymnasts to compete in the 2023 YMCA National Gymnastics Championships and Invitational from June 23 - 25. There were 77 teams and over 1,700 gymnasts competing, representing YMCAs throughout the United States. The Haverford team earned a total of 5 medals!
Congratulations to:
- Level 6 gymnast, Charlotte Burke, who won first place on floor with a score of 9.5 and second place on beam with a score of 9.3.
- Xcel Gold gymnast, Brayla Shavers, who won first place on vault with a score of 9.425 and first place on floor with a score of 9.625.
- Xcel Gold gymnast, Alana Spinelli, who won 3rd place on uneven bars with a score of 9.5.
The Haverford YMCA hasn't competed at YMCA Nationals since 2016 and we are so proud of our return to the national stage. We look forward to next year's YMCA National Gymnastics Championships which will be held locally in Oaks, PA at the Oaks Convention Center.
