Congratulations to our Phoenixville YMCA Gymnastics Team for an amazing performance at Nationals!
Twenty-nine Phoenixville gymnasts traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio to compete at the 2024 YMCA National Gymnastics Championships and Invitational June 23rd - 25th. Over 1,700 YMCA gymnasts from around the country traveled to this competition. The gymnasts from the Phoenixville YMCA won a total of 28 medals, had two teams place in the top 10, and had 4 gymnasts qualify to the all-around finals for their respective levels.
Level 8 gymnasts Nia Alleyne and Ryann Gepphart received 2 event medals each, with Nia taking the senior level 8 vault title. Nia qualified for the level 8 all-around final and placed 10th overall. The Xcel Diamond gymnasts, Addison Hawks, Rebecca Martz, and Francesca Vitelli also won two event medals each and qualified to the all-around final. Rebecca finished 10th in the junior division and Francesca finished 6th in the senior division. The Xcel Diamond team finished 6th overall. The Xcel Platinum gymnasts finished a very impressive 4th place as a team. Paige McLeod, Julianna Alcantara, Haylee Kallal, and Annie McGonigal placed on multiple events. Julianna won the floor title with a very impressive score of 9.8.
The Xcel Gold gymnasts also had a successful meet. Iris Tzou won the junior bars title. Iris Tzou, Brianna Emplit, Cadence Yarn, Amanda Gellert, and Carolyn Gordan earned event medals. Xcel Silver gymnast, Sophia Wood, was awarded 2 medals and level 4 gymnast Lexi D'Angelo came away with a medal for her performance on the bars.
Next year's YMCA National Gymnastics Championships will be held locally in Oaks, PA at the Oaks Convention Center. The team is looking forward to competing close to home.

- Rebecca Martz: 3rd on beam, AA finalist placing10th
- Francesa Vitelli: AA finalist placing 6th
- Addison Hawks: AA finalist
Level 8:
- Nia Alleyne: 1st on vault, AA finalist placed 10th
Excel Platinum Team: 4th place
Excel Diamond Team: 8th place
