Philadelphia, PA — Monday, 6/16/25 — The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is inviting area residents to join them for a day of family-friendly games, music, entertainment, and more in honor of Juneteenth at a number of branches across the Philadelphia area. 

Celebrations will be held at: 

  • The West Philadelphia YMCA (5120 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia) on Thursday, June 19th from 5p – 7pm, featuring a presentation on the history of Juneteenth, arts & crafts, a family Zumba & African Dance class, spoken word performance and more.   • The Christian Street YMCA (1724 Christan Street, Philadelphia) on Saturday, June 21st from 1pm-5pm. The “Juneteenth Block Party at the Y” will feature food, music, local Black-owned businesses, giveaways and more. “No Longer Bound: The Musical” will also perform.   • The Roxborough YMCA (7201 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia) on Saturday, June 21st from 10am – 2pm. This event will feature music, dancing, community partners, local vendors and more. The event is free and open to the community. No registration / membership is required. For details, click this link.
