Martial arts offer many advantages for kids and teens. From the lessons they learn in the dojo to the skills they develop, martial arts students carry their training over to other aspects of their lives. Benefits of martial arts classes include discipline, self-defense knowledge, character, healthy lifestyles, confidence and self-esteem, and concentration, coordination, & memorization. At the Greater Philadelphia YMCA, we offer a variety of martial arts classes at our branches.
