Put on those dancing shoes and get ready for our next recital program! We offer recital program options for kids and teens ages 3 - 18, and all experience levels are welcome. This recital track includes approximately 30 classes, a dress rehearsal, and a recital. Costumes are included in the program price. Shoes and tights should be provided by the parent/guardian.
Registration is required. Programs are open to members and non-members.
Available Programs:
All program classes will be held on Saturdays beginning September 26, 2026 and will run through May, 15, 2027.
Choose 1, 2, or 3 classes based on your dancer’s interests and age.
- Ballet & Tap for ages 3-5
- Ballet & Tap for ages 5-6
- Hip Hop & Jazz for ages 6-7
- Ballet & Tap for ages 6-7
- Ballet for ages 8-12
- Tap for ages 8-12
- Hip Hop & Jazz for ages 13-18
- Hip Hop & Jazz for ages 8-12
- Tap for ages 13-18
- Ballet for ages 13-18
Recital Program Cost:
Save by registering your child for more than one style of dance; the more classes they take the more you save! Members can take advantage of great discounts, too!
A $50 non-refundable registration fee is due at sign up. Participants will be billed monthly on the first Friday of each month from October to March.
Member Pricing:

Meet our Director
Nancy Permsap has been the director of the Children’s Dance Program of the Northeast Family YMCA since the program began in 1969 and has spent her entire dance career there.
Over the years, she has taught everything from acrobatics and jazz to ballet and baton twirling, but her tap classes have always been a staple - and favorite - from the early days to today. In May 2026, the dance program celebrated its 53rd Spring Recital under her helm.
