We're welcoming Rep. Liz Hanbridge and Mission Kids for a fun and educational night for the entire family! We'll discuss parenting topics while kids enjoy pizza and an engaging session about online safety.
This free event is open to the community and registration is required. The workshop is geared toward kids ages 8 - 12 and parents with kids ages 2 - 12.
For Parents:
Parents will participate in a 2 hour workshop led by Mission Kids' trained facilitators. Parents will learn how to talk about sensitive topics like boundaries, personal safety, and navigating today's digital world. This workshop will help you communicate effectively with your children and keep them safe.
For Kids:
Meanwhile, children will join Mission Kids' certified Community Prevention Educators for an engaging session about online safety education, called NetSmartz. This 1 hour program provides age-appropriate videos and activities that teach kids how to stay safe online. NetSmartz raises awareness of online risks and empowers kids to make safe choices online and offline.
During the second hour, kids will enjoy participating in sports, arts and crafts, or other fun activities with the Lower Gwynedd Township Police Department and certified child care staff from the Ambler YMCA.
