Great news, parents! We're offering Before and After School Care (BASE) at 60+ locations throughout the region! This program helps fill a gap for working families by keeping kids safe when not in school.
Activities
Your kids can experience tons of fun activities at the Y before and after regular school hours. This includes activities like:
- Homework assistance
- Outdoor play
- Enrichment activities
- Small group interest centers
- Arts
- STEM
Staff
Every location is managed by trained, caring, and supportive staff. Our team all have prior experience working with children and have school-age-specific training to provide your child with a fun experience in a safe and educational environment.
To ensure your child is in safe hands, all staff members must also pass through a rigorous series of background checks including FBI Fingerprinting, National Child Abuse Registry, National & State Sex Offender Registry, and full reference checks.
All staff providing before and after school care receive training on key topics like child abuse recognition and prevention, CPR and first-aid training, character development and group dynamics, and other certifications!
When:
Before school care begins at 7:00 AM. After school care is available until 6:00 PM.
Registration is now open for the 2026-2027 school year.
Where:
Care programs are available at nearly 60 locations across 19 school districts throughout the greater Philadelphia region.
