Are you a middle or high school student interested in college or career opportunities after graduation? Join our Y Achievers program!
This is a national college readiness program designed to help teens ages 14-19 through academic support, career exploration, and mentoring. It encourages teens to raise academic standards and explore diverse college and career options.
What participants can expect to gain:
- Post-Secondary Exploration: Learn about colleges, trades, apprenticeships, military options & more
- Financial Literacy: Budgeting, banking, scholarships & FAFSA
- Life & Leadership Skills: Social etiquette, time management, decision-making
- Mentorship & Support: Weekly sessions with guest speakers and caring mentors
Program Locations:
Programs are held throughout the Greater Philadelphia Area.
- Ambler YMCA: Wednesdays from 5:30 – 7:00 PM beginning October 7, 2026
- Christian Street YMCA: Tuesdays from 6:15 – 7:30 PM beginning October 6, 2026
- Columbia North YMCA: Thursdays from 4:30 – 5:30 PM beginning October 8, 2026
- Haverford YMCA: Wednesdays from 5:00 – 6:30 PM beginning October 7, 2026
- Mt. Laurel YMCA: Thursdays from 4:30 – 5:30 PM beginning October 8, 2026
- North Camden Community Center: times to be determined
- Northeast Family YMCA: Thursdays from 4:00 – 5:00 PM beginning October 8, 2026
- Pottstown YMCA: Thursdays 3:00 - 4:30 PM beginning October 8, 2026
- Rocky Run YMCA: Thursdays 5:45 - 7:00 PM beginning October 8, 2026
- Roxborough YMCA: Thursdays from 4:00 – 5:00 PM beginning October 8, 2026
- Saint Barnabas Catholic School: times to be determined
- Spring Valley YMCA: Mondays from 4:00 – 5:30 PM beginning October 5, 2026
- Upper Perk YMCA: Tuesdays from 4:00 – 5:30 PM beginning October 6, 2026
- West Philadelphia YMCA: Tuesdays from 5:00 – 6:30 PM beginning October 6, 2026
