Join Us for Summer 2021!

Saturday, May 29th – Monday, September 6th

Splash, swim, dunk, and dive your way to a fun and safe summer at the Y.

Our world-class Outdoor Pool Center, known as Barker Park, includes a family fun pool, tot pool, water slides, designated lounge spaces for members, and convenient locker rooms.

2021 Pool Access

Just one of the many benefits of membership - active Y members receive access all summer long to enjoy our Outdoor Pool facility free of charge. Not an active member of the Y, but interested in learning more? Discover all the Y has to offer.

No guests, please! Family or guests without an active Y membership will not be allowed entrance.

2021 Outdoor Pool Rules

In order to preserve the health and safety of both our members and staff, we implemented new policies and procedures that align with the government standards and CDC Guidelines. We thank everyone for their patience as we navigated through this summer of safety and fun!

Reservations

Reservations will not be required for the 2021 Summer Pool Season. Access to the pool will be on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. Capacity limits will be set according to local and state guidelines. Socially-distanced areas will be blocked off to ensure appropriate spacing of pool members. No guests are allowed.

Facility

Please enter and exit through the Barker Park pool gates. Smoking and glass containers are not permitted. Bathrooms and showers are open. Chairs and shaded spaces are not provided - make sure to bring your own!

Children 6 and under must be accompanied in the water by an adult. Only swim diapers are permitted in the pool.

camp safety swim

Swim

All swimmers under 16 must be swim tested and banded. Two tests are available – a shallow water test and a deep water test. Anyone who cannot pass either swim test will be required to wear a flotation device. Please see an off-duty lifeguard if your child wants to take the swim test. Slides will be available only during designated times.

pool - flotation

Flotation

Please bring Coast Guard-approved flotation for all non-swimmers. These can include lifejackets and puddle jumpers. Nothing inflatable will be permitted for use as a flotation device. A very limited number of flotation devices will be available. Flotation devices are not a substitute for adequate supervision.

pool-masks

Health & Screening

All pool members will be temperature-checked before entering. We will ask you a set of questions about your recent health each time you visit. Temperatures of 100.4 degrees and over will not be given access for that day.  Members must wear masks when entering or exiting the facility and when moving around outside of their assigned area.  Masks do not need to be worn in your assigned section or while swimming.

pool-distance

Distancing

We ask all visitors to respect social distancing of at least 6 feet between people who do not live both in and outside of the pool (that's 3 large beach balls!). All members will be asked to comply with posted signage and instructions including occupancy limits in the bathrooms, hand washing, social distancing both in and out of the pool, and disposing of trash.

camp safety cleaning

Cleaning

Safety is our middle name, and cleaning is our game. Bathrooms, chairs, and frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected each night, day, and in-between pool session times. We ask all pool members to please exit the pool area between session times to ensure adequate time to clean and disinfect during the day.
